Zip 'n Snort is the four hundred and sixty-sixth Merrie Melodies theatrical short. It was released by Warner Bros. Pictures on January 21, 1961. It was written by Michael Maltese, produced by John W. Burton, and directed by Chuck Jones.

After outrunning a truck and failing to climb back up the cliff he fell off, Wile E. tries using many tricks to catch the Road Runner.

Behind the scenes

  • This is the first short where Wile E. gets another product that is not from Acme.
  • The Title Music of this short would be reused in "Lickety-Splat".

Legacy

  • Some of the scenes of this cartoon involving the archer's bow, topping a boulder and using the grenade-mounted model airplane would be used in the half-hour animated screwball comedy short film, Adventures of the Road-Runner.
  • The giant archer's bow and large cannon scenes would be used in The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie.
  • Some of the animations from this short as well as a redrawn version of the Grenade-mounted model airplane would reused for Road Runner's Death Valley Rally.
    • And it was also used in Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem, as Damaged Wile E.'s basic attack, but the grenade was swapped with a stick of dynamite in its placed.
