Behind the scenes
- The title is a pun on the historical figure Napoleon Bonaparte, a French military leader and the emperor of France from 1804 to 1815.
- Mugsy makes an appearance as one of the French guards in this short. It is his only appearance in a short without Rocky, until his cameo on Carrotblanca in 1995.
- This is the only time where Mugsy appears with blue eyes; they are usually depicted as black pupils in most appearances.
- This short ends in the same way as A Wild Hare, with Bugs played a flute into his hole.
Errors
- When this was released on the Looney Tunes Super Stars: Bugs Bunny - Hare Extraordinaire DVD, it was cropped to a widescreen presentation instead of its original aspect ratio.
