Behind the scenes

  • The title is a pun on the historical figure Napoleon Bonaparte, a French military leader and the emperor of France from 1804 to 1815.
  • Mugsy makes an appearance as one of the French guards in this short. It is his only appearance in a short without Rocky, until his cameo on Carrotblanca in 1995.
  • This is the only time where Mugsy appears with blue eyes; they are usually depicted as black pupils in most appearances.
  • This short ends in the same way as A Wild Hare, with Bugs played a flute into his hole.
