Detailed summary
Memorable quotes
Foghorn: What's the big, I SAY, what's the big idea chasin' my worm? You're a cat, son. Cat's don't eat worms. You're takin' the food right outta my mouth! I don't go around chasin' mice! Stand up boy, you're trippin' over your own feet...
Foghorn: There's nothin' worse than a blabbermouth cat.
Foghorn: What kept, I say, what kept ya, son? I can't hold my breath forever! I'm not a fish! I gotta breathe air; my lungs crave air! you've got to think of things like that, boy... (gargles while his head is on a horse trough) little consideration for me... Laying down again. I don't want to be hoggish about this, so I'll tell you what, let's divide the worm!
Barnyard Cat: AHHHHHHHH, SHADDAP!

Behind the scenes
- The title is a pun on "a fractured leg." You're welcome.
- This is the first Foghorn Leghorn short to not feature either Barnyard Dawg or Henery Hawk.
- This is one of the very few Foghorn Leghorn cartoons produced after Henhouse Henery not to incorporate Foghorn's signature theme song "Camptown Races", regardless in the form of either instrumental or being sung out loud by Foghorn himself into the cartoon at all. Other examples include Of Rice and Hen and Banty Raids.
- This was the first of four shorts where Manuel Perez animates for Robert McKimson, with the last one being Dog Collared.
Legacy
- Foghorn would have a few more shorts that has him as a solo character: Raw! Raw! Rooster!, The Dixie Fryer and The Slick Chick.
- The title card of this short was referenced in the Looney Tunes Cartoons episodes "Weaselin’ In!" and "Feather of the Bride," during the "Foghorn Leghorn In..." introduction card.
