Behind the scenes
- In taxonomy, the actual term for Latin names is binomial nomenclature ("two-term naming system"), or binary nomenclature, referring to the naming of species with a name composed of two parts, usually in Latin grammatical forms.
- The actual scientific names for the coyote and roadrunner are Canis latrans and Geococcyx, respectively; although Geococcyx is a genus name and not one referring to a singular species.
