Release
Dates are in order of release:
- United States: May 21, 1980 on CBS
Behind the scenes
- The Road Runner's "Beep! Beep!" phrase gets its own latin name: Beepius-Beepius
- The packaging for the Acme Frisbee Disc has text for "Freleng Manufacturing Co., Kansas City, Mo." This is a reference to director Friz Freleng.
- This short is widely cited (albeit incorrectly) as the only short where Wile E. has canonically caught the Road Runner. However, Wile E. previously catches him, albeit briefly, in The Solid Tin Coyote.
- Compared to the other segments of the special, it is the longest with 9 minutes and 11 seconds in runtime.
