Behind the scenes

  • The MPAA certificate number is 17057.
  • This is the first short in which Granny is voiced by June Foray. Additionally, her appearance was updated for this short, and while her cheerful demeanor was retained (with a few exceptions), her old-fashioned characteristics and mannerisms were de-emphasized.
  • Granny is the grandmother of Red in the short.
  • The Big Bad Wolf's visual design in this short has a strong resemblance to Sylvester, but with brown fur and green eyes.
  • Granny's occupation in the end and the phrase, "right in the kisser," are a reference to Jackie Gleason's character in The Honeymooners television sitcom.
