The Last Hungry Cat is the four hundred and seventy-second Merrie Melodies theatrical short. It was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures on December 2, 1961. It was written by John Dunn and Dave Detiege, produced by David H. DePatie, and directed by Friz Freleng.
Sylvester tries to catch Tweety at night. But when he thinks he already caught the bird, his conscious starts to inform him that by eating Tweety, he had committed murder.

- The title is a play on the 1959 film, The Last Angry Man.
- The cartoon is a parody of the Alfred Hitchcock Presents television series and contains a plot similar to the 1929 Alfred Hitchcock film Blackmail.
- This cartoon also uses some plot elements and animations from Birds Anonymous.
- This is one of the few shorts where Tweety does not say "I tawt I taw a putty tat!"
