Stooge for a Mouse is the three hundred and twenty-fourth Merrie Melodies theatrical short. It was released by Warner Bros. Pictures and The Vitaphone Corporation on October 21, 1950. It was produced by Edward Selzer, and it was both written and directed by Friz Freleng.
After attempting to get a hunk of cheese and getting foiled by Sylvester and Mike, a little mouse decides to plot his revenge by turning the bulldog against the cat by framing Sylvester for a series of murder attempts.

Behind the scenes
- This cartoon and Rabbit Every Monday were written by Freleng while he was waiting in-between for new story writers.
- This cartoon has a similar plot to Paramount's Noveltoon short, Cheese Burglar.
- This marks the final short animated by Gerry Chiniquy. He would not return until the 1954 Looney Tunes short, By Word of Mouse.
Legacy
- Several of the gags and quotes used in this short were later recycled in the 1957 Looney Tunes cartoon, Bugsy and Mugsy.
