This Is a Life? is the three hundred and twenty-sixth Merrie Melodies theatrical short. It was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and The Vitaphone Corporation on July 9, 1955. It was written by Warren Foster, produced by Edward Selzer, and directed by Friz Freleng.

Elmer Fudd is a host of a TV show where he and Yosemite Sam try to get revenge on Bugs Bunny. Meanwhile, Daffy laments that the show is not about him.

Music

The music was composed by Milt Franklyn. It uses a special rendition of the "Merrily We Roll Along" intro theme, although it goes back to using the outro theme from Hare Brush. Beginning with Jumpin' Jupiter to Hawaiian Aye Aye, the Merrie Melodies series would use newly made renditions of these themes from 1955 to 1964.

• The short's title and premise are a spoof of of This is Your Life.
• It uses clips from the following cartoons:

• This is one of the few Bugs Bunny shorts not to feature Bugs' head icon in the color rings, or the Bugs Bunny introductionary card before the opening credits; and for the very first time since Tokyo Jokio, the credits come before the title.
• When this was first released on the Looney Tunes Super Stars' Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl DVD, it was cropped down to widescreen.

Everlasting Influence

• This cartoon would be used in the TV Special, Bugs Bunny's Mad World of Television but the clip from Hare Do of Elmer using an Army Surplus radar tracker to hunt for Bugs has been replaced with a scene of Bugs and Elmer's vaudeville act from What's Up Doc?
