The Million Hare is the four hundred and thirty-first Looney Tunes theatrical short. It was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures on April 6, 1963. It was written by John Dunn, produced by Dave Detiege, and directed by Robert McKimson.

It's a race to Station QTTV for the million buck prize, as Bugs and Daffy have been chosen to be contestants of the Beat Your Buddy game show.

The music was composed by William Lava.

An instrumental of "With Plenty of Money and You", by Al Dubin and Harry Warren for Gold Diggers of 1937, plays both in the short's title cards, and in the final scene.

Behind the scenes

  • The title is a pun on "the millionaire." You're welcome.
  • This is the second and last of the only two cartoons directed by Robert McKimson to pair Bugs and Daffy together; the other being People are Bunny.
  • Unlike most Bugs Bunny shorts, his headshot does not appear in the opening titles. It also lacks a Bugs Bunny introduction card.
  • As of this short, it is the 100th Daffy Duck cartoon that was ever released.
