Behind the scenes
- The title card background is reused from the 1955 short, Speedy Gonzales.
- This short is much different than the other Speedy Gonzales shorts, in which it has the mice viewing Speedy as a menace. It is also only one where the mice seek the help of a cat to aid them in getting rid of Speedy.
Errors
- Sylvester places a sizable wedge of cheese on the ground to lure Speedy out of his hole. But when Speedy comes out of the hole to take the cheese, it has changed to a small, thin slice of cheese.
