Behind the scenes
- This cartoon was largely inspired by the 1967 film, Bonnie and Clyde; part of the title is a play on the line "We rob banks," which also originated from said film.
- The MPAA certificate number is 21922.
- Beginning with this cartoon and the remaining ones produced until 1969, all shorts from Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Animation would be directed by Robert McKimson, rather than Alex Lovy. It is also the only McKimson-directed cartoon released in 1968.
- Although the short was submitted for an Academy Award in 1968, it was never nominated.
Errors
Legacy
- Bunny and Claude would again appear for their next and last entry in the Merrie Melodies short, The Great Carrot Train Robbery.
