- The title is based on one of Tweety's catchphrases, "(You) bad ol' putty tat!"
- This is one of the few Tweety shorts in which Sylvester is mute; the others being Tweetie Pie, Putty Tat Trouble, and Tree Cornered Tweety.
- The gag where Tweety attacks Sylvester, whom is jumping on the trampoline to grab him from his birdhouse, is similar to a gag from A Tale of Two Kitties.
