Release
Dates are in order of release:
- United States: April 13, 1957 in theatres
Behind the scenes
- The working title for this cartoon was: Hare Deviled, which was a hair/hare pun of 'Hair deviled'.
- This was the second Taz cartoon, three years after the first cartoon that debuted him, Devil May Hare. Eddie Selzer had previously ordered Robert McKimson to stop using the character. The decision was reversed due to demand from Jack Warner to bring him back.
- Several elements of this cartoon (specifically the opening scene involving Taz's debut) were borrowed heavily from Devil May Hare.
- The Tasmanian She-Devil calls Taz "Claude" while he called her "Rosebud".
- This is the second and final classic era appearance of the Tasmanian She-Devil.
Errors
- When this cartoon was first restored on the Looney Tunes Super Stars' Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinaire DVD, the cartoon had been cropped to widescreen. For its later release on the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection: Volume 1 Blu-Ray and DVD, it was reverted back to its original full screen format.
Legacy
- Most of this cartoon was used in the Thanksgiving TV special, Bugs Bunny's Thanksgiving Diet, but with a redubbed scene where Bugs tells Taz that he should not serve rabbit on Thanksgiving, but instead serve Wild Turkey Surprise.
- The Tasmanian She-Devil from this cartoon as well as Bugs' She-Devil disguise are used in Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem.
