Rabbitson Crusoe is the three hundred and sixty-fourth Looney Tunes theatrical short. It was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and The Vitaphone Corporation on April 28, 1956. It is written by Warren Foster, produced by Edward Selzer, and directed by Friz Freleng.

Stranded on a Deserted Island, Sam only has a lonely coconut tree which for food supplies. However, it is guarded by a dangerous man-eating shark named Dopey Dick. But Sam's tired of coconuts and wishes to eat something other than coconuts. And when Bugs Bunny washes up on shore, Sam decides to have him for dinner, or rather, as dinner.

  • Similar to Gorilla My Dreams, Bugs sings the song "Where the Tradewinds Play" while lost at sea.

Legacy

  • While the cartoon itself was not included in the movie, Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island, the opening scene from that film homages this cartoon: Daffy, a castaway shipwrecked on a desert island for months with nothing on it but a coconut tree, gets sick and tired of eating coconuts.
