Memorable quotes

Porky: Now, w-w-w-what did I tell you do?
Gregory: You said, "keep your eyes open and watch out for that fox. He's been gettin' too much of my chickens lately. He's a sly devil. He is and," uh... And, uh...
Porky: And d-d-d-don't go to sleep.
Gregory: Yup, yup, yup! Don't go to sleep. Huh-huh-huh-huh-huh!

Fox: Get me outta here! Get me outta here! DON'T JUST STAND THERE! DO SOMETHIN'!
Gregory: Keep cool, partner, keep cool. I'll get you out!
Porky: Wh-wh-what's going on there!?
Gregory: The fox is in there!
Porky: The fox? D-d-d-don't get him away! Here, y-y-you hold the gun. I'll open the d-d-d-d-d-door. Y-y-y-you get him when he c-c-c-comes out. Ready? Ok-k-k-k...
(Porky opens the incubator room, only to see a miniaturized version of the fox)
Fox: Look what you've done to me! A fine thing! Just look at me, just look at me! I'm a ruined man! You'll hear my lawyer about this!

Aftermath

As with a majority of black-and-white WB cartoons produced between 1935 to 1943, a colorized version of this short was outsourced by Color Systems Inc. in the late 1960s. However, due to a low budget and time constraints, every other frame was only redraw, leaving only half of the cartoon's frame rate.[1][2]

Another colorized version was made in the early 1990s, which was outsourced to CST Entertainment, Inc. Computer software was used to color the print without losing quality of the original.[2]

Music

The music was composed by Carl W. Stalling.
