- In The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror IV," during the "The Devil and Homer Simpson" segment, Homer receives a similar torture scene when he spends a day in Hell and heads to the "Ironic Punishment Department," where he is forced to eat "all the donuts in the world" with an automated machine. However, the punishment fails when Homer does eat all of the donuts. According to series creator Matt Goering in the season five DVD set audio commentaries, he cited the force-feeding scene of Pigs is Pigs as his favorite scene in all of animation.
