Slowpoke Rodriguez, the slowest mouse in all of Mexico, comes to make a visit with his cousin Speedy. But his presence provides an opportunity for Sylvester, who decides to catch Speedy's cousin instead of him.

Behind the scenes
- The title is a pun on "Mexican borders." You're welcome.
- This is the last animated short from Warner Bros. Cartoons where the opening color rings fades to the title card, instead of fading to black then to the title card, and fully completing the transition of introducing the "A VITAGRAPH/VITAPHONE RELEASE" byline to the ending titles.
- It is the second and last appearance of Slowpoke Rodriguez in theatrical shorts.
