- United States: September 26, 1953
Behind the scenes
- The title is a combination pun on the words "lumberjack" and "jackrabbit."
- This is the first Warner Bros. animated short to be produced in 3D.
- This cartoon uses unique opening and closing sequences; the WB shield at the opening pops out more, while the "That's all folks!" texts fades in instead of being written.
- For its release on the Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinaire DVD, it was cropped to a 16:9 widescreen presentation, as opposed to its original 4:3 aspect ratio. It was later restored to its full screen format on the Bugs Bunny 80th Anniversary Collection Blu-Ray set.
