Behind the scenes
- Sow Pig from Duck Dodgers was inspired by Dot and is even voiced by her voice actor.
- Sherri Stoner invented Dot's full name, patterned after Pippi Longstocking's full name: Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim's Daughter Longstocking.
- The full form of the name is also likely a reference to Shirley Ellis's "The Name Game", as the name pattern in the song ends with the "bonana", "fo" and "fanna" pattern.
In popular culture
- In "Animaniac Kama Sutra" a segment of the Robot Chicken episode "Cheese Puff Mountain," Dot appears at the end of the skit. She is voiced by Seth Green.
