Beatrice Benaderet was an American actress and comedian. She is best known for playing various characters in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies theatrical shorts, including the original voices for Granny, Witch Hazel, and Miss Prissy.
Benaderet died on October 13, 1968 from lung cancer at the age of 62.

Other roles
Benaderet was also the original voice of Betty Rubble in Hanna-Barbera's animated sitcom The Flintstones, during its first to fourth seasons. From the seasons five to six, Benaderet was replaced by Gerry Johnson when the former faced scheduling conflicts with another sitcom, Petticoat Junction.
