Cracked Quack is the three hundred and fifty-second Merrie Melodies theatrical short. It was released by Warner Bros. Pictures and The Vitaphone Corporation on July 5, 1952. It was produced by Edward Selzer, written by Warren Foster, and directed by Friz Freleng.

After crash landing at Porky's house during a blizzard, Daffy decides to stay indoors for the winter. With only one catch, he has to pretend to be a stuffed duck to avoid being noticed.

Everlasting influence

  • The short was used in the feature film Bugs Bunny's 3rd Movie: 1001 Rabbit Tales, with some changes:
    • Daffy's line, "We'll just put it away in the storage for the winter", is replaced with, "Thermopolis will just have to wait."
    • The ending was changed with Porky shooting all of the ducks out of his house with buckshot.
  • DePatie–Freleng loosely remade the cartoon as the 1969 Pink Panther short, Slink Pink.
