Detailed summary

Memorable quotes

Bugs: You guys have anything to fill in a couple of tiny, little holes. Barely anything!
Cashier: You mean spackle?
Bugs: Yeah, spackle... Some people call it spackle.
Cashier: I owe you 19. You're having trouble with that shelf?
Bugs: What? No! I put that up no problem! Just hammer it up right there.
Cashier: Hammered? You just used a drill, right?
Bugs: Of course. Drill it up right there... Are the drills anywhere near the spackle?

Daffy: What are you doing here?
Tina: Date night, remember? Is that the reason why you're in the shower?
Daffy: What? No I got peanut butter all over my back. When's the water going to get back on?!
Tina: Well, first he's going to remove the dry wall, saw off the damaged pipe and put on a slip coupler. Then he's gonna replace the dry wall, spray it with texture on it and paint it... I can do it for you, but it'll take a couple of days.
Daffy: A couple of DAYS?! I can't get on a shower for that long?
Tina: Since when did you make so many showers?
Daffy: It's a principal. If I'm going to pay rent somewhere, then I want everything to work!
Bugs: You don't pay rent...
Daffy: And I WON'T! Not until that's fixed! How am I supposed to live? It won't end with a "why?" Long story.
Tina: I guess you can stay with me.
Daffy: I don't think so. Not until there's a ring on this finger.

Speedy: What's going on, man!? I was taking a nap! I almost drowned!
Bugs: I was tryin' to put a shelf and I drilled to a water pipe.
Speedy: Why didn't you pay for someone to do it for you? I don't get it?
Bugs: I won the Nobel Prize. I think I can put it on a shelf.
Speedy: Oh, the Nobel Prize, huh? What did get it for? Making bad decisions?

Lola: Speedy, we're adults. Okay? Adults live on their own.
Speedy: Where do you live?
Lola: With my parents. They gave me these bells!

Daffy: The butter is hard!
Porky: Wh-wh-what?
Daffy: I said the butter is hard! Because somebody failed to let it soften, before serving dinner!
Porky: I'm sorry? I j-just got so busy with th-the cr-cr-crème brûlée-...
Daffy: Th-th-th, b-b-b-b! But you're not busy to make excuses! (throws the cold butter at Porky's chest)
Porky: Ow! That hurt!
Daffy: I bet it hurt! Because it's hard!
Tina: Daffy!
Daffy: This doesn't concern you, Tina. This is between me and my butler.
Tina: He's not you're butler! Porky, you are not his butler.
Porky: I-I know. I just... I just like having someone around.
(Porky gets hit by a hard roll)
Daffy: Are these store-bought rolls!
Porky: Ow!
Daffy: Of course, you're saying "Ow!" They're like rocks!

Bugs: I got the shelf out!

Release

Dates are in order of release:

  • United States: January 24, 2012 on Cartoon Network

Behind the scenes

  • The plot of the episode is an allusion on the proverb "for want of a nail," about how a seemingly unimportant act (in this case, setting up a shelf) incites grave consequences.
  • It is the last episode in which Jennifer Esposito voices Tina, before being replaced by Annie Mumolo in season 2.

Errors

  • While the caller in Bugs' answering machine refers to the prize's institution as the "Nobel Prize Institution," the actual name of it is the Nobel Foundation.
