Behind the scenes
- Freberg is the first person, apart from Mel Blanc, to get a screen credit on a Warner Bros. cartoon, beginning with the 1957 short Three Little Bops.
- Daws Butler, who worked on multiple Warner Bros. shorts during the 1950s to early 1960s, was a frequent collaborator of Freberg in a variety of his records.
- Freberg referred himself as a "guerrilla satirist."[1] His comedy often played with satire on various topics and popular culture, such as in his 1958 single "Green Chri$ma$," which commented on the over-commercialization of Christmas.[2]
