Big Man from the North is the sixth short in the Looney Tunes theatrical series. It was released by Warner Bros. Pictures and The Vitaphone Corporation on November 22, 1930.[1][Note 1] It was produced and directed by Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising, the founders of Harman-Ising Productions and creators of the series.

Cartoons (Will Friedwald and Jerry Beck) and The Encyclopedia of Animated Cartoons (Jeff Lenburg)–give it an unspecified date in 1930. The November 22 release is taken from a newspaper article of the same date, based on the fact that new theatrical cartoon shorts were released on Saturdays.
