The Oswald Awards is a cartoon-themed award ceremony that was created by Friz Freleng, and was held in Hollywood, California.

It is also the third and final act of The Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie.

Summary

In Hollywood, Friz Freleng had won 5 Academy Awards and 2 Emmy Awards. But Bugs only got a carrot. When Bugs tried to complain to Friz, it turned out that he was doing something very nice for the Looney Tunes: He was creating the very first cartoon-themed award ceremony: The Oswald Awards. And to show his gratitude, Friz made Bugs the host of the award ceremony as he planning a special surprise. The Oswald Award would be given to the one toon who helped out the most.

During the Oswald Award's Red Carpet Opening Ceremony, a dimwitted news reporter dog (a spoof of Goofy the other company), interviews some of the guests attending the Oswald Awards. One guest was Chuck Jones' Pepé Le Pew, whose scent drives off the crowd, Porky Pig and his cousins, The Three Little Bops, including The Big Bad Wolf, and another guest, Robert McKimson's Foghorn Leghorn, who does a lil' chorus kick number when arriving. Soon enough some of Freleng's own characters arrive such as Yosemite Sam, Tweety and Sylvester. Soon enough, Daffy Duck arrives, but the audience doesn't like Daffy, they prefer Bugs Bunny, who arrives in time to host the ceremony, much to Daffy's bitter jealousy.

When the awards show starts, Bugs presents the first two nominations: The Three Little Bops and the Big Bad Wolf and Tweety Pie and Sylvester. He also shows the cartoons they starred in: Three Little Bops and Birds Anonymous. But the third nominee came to as a surprise for Bugs. For the nominee is... himself, who Daffy protests! He shows off one of his classics, High Diving Hare, much to Daffy's rantings.

When the third cartoon finishes up, it was time to present the Oswald Award. Everyone waits in anticipation to know who it could be. But Bugs is suddenly embarrassed to find out who it was that won. So Daffy decides to go on stage and read the winner's name himself! To which, in Daffy's shock and dismay, that the winner of the Oswald Award was... Bugs Bunny.

But before Bugs could accept the award, Daffy calls out Bugs and challenges him to see who the audience prefers: The rabbit or the duck! Bugs... accepts the challenge.

And so, a showbiz showdown is held to determine who will win the Oswald Award. For most of the challenge, the audience was in Bugs' favor. So Daffy, after trying to do the rabbit in, decides to try one more suicidal act to win over the audience! And when he blows himself up, the audience applauds for Daffy!

And so, as Daffy, being a spirit after blowing himself up, Bugs decides to give Daffy his award as he thinks Daffy was more deserving of it. And as the Oswald Awards came to a close, Daffy exclaims: "It juth goeth to show that ya: You gotta kill yourselth to win an Othwald in thith town!"

"That's all Folks!"
