- The title is a pun of 'Pulitzer Prize', the word "pullet" is a hen that is less than one year old.
- Since this cartoon was produced after the death of Mel Blanc, the voice of Foghorn Leghorn was supplied by Frank Gorshi. Stan Freberg reprises his role of Pete Puma since the 1952 Merrie Melodies short, Rabbit's Kin.
