Behind the scenes
- The title is a pun of Robert Louis Stevenson's horror story, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
- This is Bugs Bunny's final short in the Merrie Melodies series and the final cartoon where he is paired with Taz, as this was also his final appearance in the Golden Age of Animation.
- Additionally, this is the only time where Bugs Bunny and Taz both lose in the end.
Errors
- When this cartoon was first restored on the Looney Tunes Super Stars' Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinaire DVD, the cartoon had been cropped to widescreen. For its later release on the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection: Volume 1 Blu-Ray and DVD, it was reverted back to its original full screen format.
