Bugs Bunny's Wild World of Sports is a television special based on the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies theatrical shorts. It aired on February 15, 1989 at CBS. It was written and directed by Greg Ford and Terry Lennon, and uses a combination of new animated footage with classic material from the shorts.
Hosted and by sportscaster Roy Firestone, the special sees the Looney Tunes gang in an Oscar-styled ceremony to see who will be honored for the "World's Greatest Sportsman".
