Frank Tashlin (born Francis Fredrick von Taschlein, February 19, 1913 – May 5, 1972), also known by his nicknames as Tish Tash and Frank Tash,[1] was an American animator and filmmaker known for his work on the the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of theatrical cartoons, and his later career as a director of live-action comedy films.
Tashlin died of a coronary thrombosis on May 5, 1972, at the age of 59.
