Behind the scenes
- The title is a pun of the 1951 novel and the 1953 film based on the novel, From Here to Eternity.
- Since this cartoon was produced after the death of Mel Blanc, Bugs is voiced by Greg Burson, while Yosemite Sam is voiced by Frank Gorshin.
- Michigan J. Frog's voice singing "Hello, My Ragtime Gal" is briefly heard when Buccaneer Sam digs up for treasure, but is not physically seen, unless one counts the box labelled 'M.J. FROG' containing him.
- Jeff McCarthy provides M.J.'s singing voice in this scene, but is uncredited.
- This was issued as a tribute to Yosemite Sam's creator, Friz Freleng, who had died about two years before the release of this cartoon.
- This is the final cartoon directed by Chuck Jones, ending a career that began in 1938, and the first and only Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam cartoon directed by him.
Errors
- On some home video releases of this cartoon, the WB Logo and Max Steiner fanfare theme shown as the beginning of this cartoon had been cut out for unknown reasons. And it is currently unknown if and when this cartoon will fully restored with its WB Logo and fanfare intact.
Home availability
- In the United States:
- November 15, 2011: Warner Home Video releases Looney Tunes Platinum Collection: Volume 1 on Blu-ray.
