Behind the scenes
- The title is a pun of 'Mexican Borders'.
- This cartoon gives Speedy's cousin, Slowpoke Rodriguez, a voice. Slowpoke is voiced by Tom Holland.
- This is the last cartoon from the original Termite Terrace cartoon studio where the opening color rings or the Bugs Bunny Introduction Card fades to the title card of the cartoon instead of fading to black then to the title card, fully completing the transition of introducing the "A VITAGRAPH/VITAPHONE RELEASE" byline to the ending titles.
Everlasting Influence
- While this cartoon was edited for time, it was included in Bugs Bunny's 3rd Movie: 1001 Rabbit Tales.
