- The short fell into public domain in 199, due to Warner Bros.-Seven Arts not renewing the copyright at the time.
- Porky credits himself as being from 2nd grade, with a draft number of 6 and 7⁄8. He is also 7 years old in this cartoon.
- The scene where a stick-figure caricature of Al Jolson sings "September in the Rain" was cut from all U.S. television airings (including Nickelodeon), due to its use of blackface.[2] It was also cut on a few VHS prints.
Errors
Everlasting influence
- The off-key rendition of Stalling's "Frat" score was used in the television special Bugs Bunny's Wild World of Sports.
