Bugs ventures out to rescue him and his co-stars, while he rediscovers his love for performing.

On August 22, plans for an HBO Max were dropped and the film was instead planned to be shipped to other streaming services.[2] However, Jess Marsifi, the props and effects designer, later stated that the film was still in production despite the lay-offs. Production on the movie was put on pause in order to rework the flim into a full fledged musical.

On August 15, 2024, an animator confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the film was cancelled. On August 17, Eric Bauza posted a video of his signing audition for the film on social media in response to its shelving.[3][4]
